Working with DKDouglas Consulting was easy for us as they gathered the requirements, presented us with solutions, and procured all the necessary equipment once we made our decisions.

ICS Crating

Background

Independent Contracting Services (ICS Crating) provides Custom Crating, Packing & Assembly Solutions for businesses and home owners in middle Tennessee and the South East region. ICS Crating has been a leader in the industry since 2008 and decided to have build a warehouse to support their increased production of both commercial and residential services.

To meet the demands of their customers ICS Crating decided to build a new warehouse that consisted of 3 offices, a reception area, and a large warehouse where they can put together crates for their customers. High Speed internet was required to keep up with the office data requirements.

Challenges

ICS crating needed an enterprise network, new laptops and desktops, IP phone system, camera's, and wireless access points.  One user was using Office 365 Business, this needed to be expanded to the additional Office users and upgrade of licenses to support the Microsoft Teams Phone System.

Solutions

Network:

We ran CAT5E cable throughout the building to support new IP phones, computers, and cameras.  A Networking Cabinet was installed where we punched down all the network runs into a patch panel.  A Cisco SG220-26P Gigabit PoE Smart Switch was installed.  Two Cisco WAP571 devices were in installed so that technicians could have internet access to upload customer job information once they get back to the office.

Office 365:

We added DKDouglas Consulting as a partner to the existing Office 365 Tenant and moved the licensing subscription to be provided by DKDouglas Consulting.  The existing subscription was upgraded from Office 365 Business to Enterprise E3 and additional licenses were added for each office user.  Additionally, we added licenses subscriptions to enable to business to be enabled on the Microsoft Teams Phone System and procured Poly CCX 500 desktop phones for staff.

We migrated users from a shared DropBox account to their own OneDrive for Business in an effort to reduce the organizational licensing costs.

In a future project we plan to configure SharePoint for the office intranet and shared document storage.
